YES! We've made it to March! Not that I want time to fly by but for me January and February are the longest, toughest parts of any year.
2019 has brought a lot of frigid temperatures and snow...not unusual....but tiring. It is hard for parents with babies and young children to get them bundled in their layers, snowsuits, boots, mitts and hats...buckle into car seats. It is tough for families with dogs that need walking.... most dogs and humans don't want to go out in frigid temperatures. It's nerve-wracking for parents of young drivers who have the car out on slippery, snowy streets.
So now we head into the messiest time of the year when the snow starts to melt, and we look forward to Spring Break and spring family fun! Get out the splash pants and rubber boots and make sure they still fit your growing children.
This issue features our Spring Break Family Fun Guide. Check out our calendar with tons of great things going on throughout March and April. It is also our Summer Camps Superguide Part 1. If you want to send your child to sleep-away camp, you need to get on it right away. Many have registrations in December and January and book up quickly. Our province and surrounding provinces offer so many incredible camp experiences for children and teens. It is a great time for kids to experience new activities and meet new friends and feel independent, being away from parents. Some kids love it, others have no interest in going away to camp. Good thing there are lots of great day camps offering great experiences for children of all ages and interests. Check out our Summer Camp section in this issue and learn about the many opportunities for your children.
