Manitoba's Favourite Picnic
Rain or shine teddy bear's will have a good time at the 22nd annual Teddy
Bears' Picnic at Assiniboine Park on Sunday, May 25th, 9am to 5pm. This
community event is a favourite for families offering health and safety
information and education, crafts, games, food and fantastic entertainment.
The day starts with a Pancake Breakfast served-up by celebrity servers
beginning at 8am in the St. James Rotary Tent. Kids can bring their injured
furry friends to the Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life B*A*S*H
(Bears Ambulatory Surgical Hospital) Tent to see first-hand how doctor's,
nurses and other health professionals perform medical procedures such as x-
rays, splints, casts and even minor surgery to help your bear get better. Book
your B*A*S*H appointment early on-site to avoid disappointment!
The Shaw Main Stage offers exciting entertainment all day featuring The Super
Hero Search Show (TM) with Marvel (TM) characters Spider-Man, Incredible Hulk,
Green Goblin and Storm. New this year is the Teddy Bears' Picnic raffle. For
just $5 attendees can enter to win four Air Canada tickets (valued at $8,000).
Tickets are sold on Picnic day only and draw takes place at 5:00pm at the Main
Stage (Lyric Theatre).
